DECONSTRUCTION AND REUSE OF MASONRY

The report was written based on the renovation projekt I had in my 5th semester, where a large part of the internal walls would be torn down. My idea was to investigate how these removed materials could be reused. I looked into the method of deconstruction and also the condition and requirements for reused masonry.

When I initally started as a constructing architect, it was because I wanted to work in development countries with establishing better living conditions for the people living there e.g. by building wells, schools, hospitalt, housing units. And I wanted to know how building was actually constructed. 
When i had the chance to decide what to write about, I wanted to write about this subject together with the problems that climate changes are causing in relation to flooding of rural areas. I investigated the consequences of flooding and the social conditions and housing types that rural population of Bangladesh and Vietnam. From this I suggested solution to which construction improvements could benefit bamboo housing during flooding.
